NATIONAL PIE DAY

I know.. National Pie Day was yesterday.

I am late.
But truth be told, I was busy making a pie yesterday.

In fact, I have been busy making a lot of pies lately.

I just love everything about pie. Pies remind me of a time gone by..
Not that I was a part of any big pie movement of the past.

There is just something about the image of a pie cooling on the window sill with a checkerboard dish towel underneath that makes me smile. Not that I cool any of my pies on the window sill! With a collie around that can reach heights of over 5 feet when standing on two legs, my pies are lucky to get to cool atop the stove!

There are so many hundreds of different pie possibilities that it seems that there is a pie to please just about any person.

So, put down your cupcakes people! And have a slice of pie!
